About A Summer
02:32
|
|||
Ask your afternoons, will a drink really kill you? I'm so bored of this castle, I'm so bored of this room. I should let down my hair for some rope to climb, I'm sure there's something we could do, I'm sure there's something we could find.
So dig deep inside your dirt for something that doesn't hurt. Write it on some paper and hide it in your skirt. And when we get older and write our famous novels about everything we used to love, and nothing that was awful it's called, "Something About a Summer".

Keep Coming Back
02:14
|
|||
I don't wanna get out of bed. I don't remember the words I said. It's gunna happen to me again. I stumble around these streets at night, trying to get it right. When I'm home alone, I cry.
I keep coming back to you.
I don't wanna get out of bed. I can't even pay my rent. I hate myself for doing this again.
I keep coming back to you, and all the stupid things you do. My friends say I should get a brain, but I'm low on your food chain when your stomach's growling. At least you're howling for me.
I keep coming back to you.
I keep coming back to you, and all the stupid things you do.

Outer Space
02:34
|
|||
Charlie: "I got my phone, my wallet, my keys...my heart on my sleeve. I'm on the first the borrowed van out of here. How many bombs will get dropped on us this year?"
"I don't know where where we should go? Maybe outer space is better than this place?"
Julie: "I'll miss my mom and big sister, tell her I miss her. But I can't stand living in this place. I'll miss my dad and my friend Emily.
"But I don't care, life's one big scare. I won't waste my time just walking the line."
Charlie: "I'm gunna find myself and brand new home."
Julie: "I got my phone, my wallet, my keys...my heart on my sleeve.
You can chip in for gas or some beer. I think it's going to be our year."
Charlie: "I'll miss the open skies, I'll miss drinking with you all night."

Now Ya Know
01:48
|
|||
When we used to get drunk and make fun of our friends, telling nasty jokes at each others expense.
I could tell...
that it hurt you more than you cared to lead on. Masked by stupid tricks, and your skin it grew thick.
You could tell...
that I hated those games and I was glad to move away. And it made your guts hurt that you didn't do the same. And the mold has been cast, the writings on the wall. I guess you are who you are anyway, after all.
Now you know.

Down And Out
02:39
|
|||
Bang our heads on cement once again, it's a drag and that's ok. Fall asleep in a park with a fiend, wake up alone.
We don't know what we're thinking but we know it's still good. We're down and out.
Send our thoughts, buy a card, talk to friends, forget to remember when. But we shrug it off, because we suck too. We're not so cool, we'll do it again.

Stay Cool
03:07
|

There's no reason to believe that everyone's out to get me. And I just can't seem to forget that I ain't even got old yet....Stay cool.

Who Ya Cryin' For?
03:03
|
|||
I see that you've been sad, and you've been running. You say that life's bad, but you had it coming. Well the good days have had it and your sun is setting. You just want to hold her like it ain't ending.
Who ya crying for these days? This sounds just like the last time. And the time unwinds and wastes. You are you are crying for these days?
I see that you've been sad, you still look stunning. You say that life's bad, but I still love you honey. And the good days have had it, your sun is setting. You just want to hold him at your wedding.

Witch's Hat
02:59
|
|||
Through tangled streets we'd run, taking drugs for fun. We raced up that hill, chasing dreams that we've killed.
I always thought that it was you, all the things to get me through. Never it wanted it to last, now I'm never coming back to the Witches Hat.
And we always got along, like some old lyrics to an old song. We'd stay out till the sun come up. Why did it end so abruptly?

Wire, X, and Heart
02:38
|
|||
I got some beers from yesterday. If you want I throw them in my bag. We can take our bikes down to the park, start a fire when it gets dark, we listen to the radio.
My old friend gave me some wax, we can sing songs about not coming back. You can bring some tunes, we'll make some art, sing songs from Wire, X, and Heart. We can listen to the Orioles.
I got some beers from yesterday. We haven't slept, but we can't wait.

Hold Out
03:36
|
|||
Waiting, so tired of waiting. Our love just cannot waste. Our time is fading so quickly, I'm ready to jump from this ledge.
But you don't seem to care much, you've got your own life to live. So then, why can't I live MINE as I see fit?
You are a hold out for my love, and I keep toiling along. You just keep me hanging on, you are a hold out for my love.
I begged you, I pleaded, I said I'm the one for you. But you turned down, you were untrue, you spit in the face of my love.

Where Did I Go Wrong?
03:38
|
|||
Where did I go wrong? So unsatisfied, so this life's a lie that I bought half the time? The first Act is over, the second starts with tears. The memories I'll visit on holidays once a year. Where did I go wrong?
Why can't I get it right? It's no better being kind, you're just worried all the time. I'll break my back before I fall back in line. My old friends help me to see clearer, now the headaches remind me of the visits that I have every year. Where did I go wrong.
Where did I go wrong, the only thing I know. The only thing I got to show for anything at all.
